The following “all senses exercise”, will help you be present in the moment, feeling what you’re feeling now.<\/p>\n
Go for a 10-15 minute walk and begin observing and noticing everything around you: the trees, the leaves, the grass, the sky, the smell in the air, the sweetness of flowers blossoming around you.<\/p>\n
Hear the sounds of the birds chirping, the dogs barking, the cars passing by…<\/p>\n
Feel everything: feel the wind blowing on your hair, the ground underneath you feet, the warmth of the sun on your face and body.<\/p>\n
Take in as much as you can, everything that is in front of you.<\/p>\n
Gaining more control of your emotions, enables you to focus on what you want to experience rather than resisting and trying to avoid feeling badly.<\/p>\n
