Here’s an exercise to help you make an effective change rather than hoping for things to be different.<\/p>\n
Take a sheet of paper and a pen and draw two circles apart from each other. One on top, and the other on bottom half of the paper.<\/p>\n
On the top circle, write your present obstacles; Things that are currently limiting you from getting what you desire. ( procrastination, fear, self doubt, poor self image,etc)<\/p>\n
On the bottom circle list all the things you want; Things you desire in your life (better relationships with your mate, make more money, increase self confidence, etc) be specific.<\/p>\n
Now you have two circles in front of you. Take a good look at them: these two circles are not related to each other. They are two completely separate entities; Two very different “movies” or sceneries we all tend to spend time thinking about.<\/p>\n
The mistake we make is thinking that hanging in circle one will get us to circle two… Unfortunately, it DOESNT!!<\/p>\n
We look at circle one, our challenges or difficult situations, and see the areas of our lives we need to work on or improve, for example; “I need to work on having a better relationship with my husband”.<\/p>\n
We believe that when we look at the problems in our lives, we’re trying to improve them.<\/p>\n
The question is, what do you focus on when trying to improve your life, where is your attention?<\/p>\n
On circle one right?<\/p>\n
Keeping your focus on circle one will never get you to circle two – what you really want!<\/p>\n
As long as you stay there nothing will change!<\/p>\n
As Albert Einstein said,
\n“Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them.”<\/p>\n
We need to move into a higher level of consciousness; To become more aware of where we are spending or directing our energy towards.<\/p>\n
