Controlling Negative Emotions
Allowing negative feelings, or deep sadness to creep inside us, because of circumstances which are beyond our control, doesn’t benefit us in any way. Here’s a little exercise which will create a difference in an instant: changing your physiology, language and focus.
Meaning, shift you’re body (if sitting down, stand up), change your inner dialogue(what you say to yourself), and your focus elsewhere – (a friend, your child, pet, or a pleasant vacation) – something that puts a smile on your face and makes you HAPPY!
